Leave of absence requests should be requested at least 2 weeks in advance

Under education law, parents do not have an automatic right to take their children out of school during term time. In line with Government guidelines, requests for leave of absence will only be authorised in exceptional circumstances. The parent/carer will be advised of the school’s decision in writing. The headteacher’s decision is final.

The school holiday dates are published well in advance to enable you to plan your holidays outside of term time so that absence does not impact on the continuing education of your child.
Should you still wish to apply for a leave of absence, please ensure you have read the School's Attendance Policy before you submit this form and sign the declaration below.
I understand that if a leave of absence is taken without approval from the school, this information will be passed onto the Local Authority Attendance Officer and a Penalty Notice of £80 per parent, per child, may be issued without further warning from the Local Authority.
